You’ll be happy to know that we survived our exciting camping experience at the construction site in Daytona. I couldn’t get out of that city quick enough! One of the major benefits of camping at a construction site is that they have Port-O-Potties! A great comfort for those early morning poop parties I seem to be having. Too much info? Too bad

Yesterday we went by the Kennedy Space Center, I saw a real live rocket ship and was even offered a ride to the moon. I almost took it but my mom wants me home for Thanksgiving. We also saw the original Ron Jon Surf Shop in Coco beach. This place is open 24/7 and is huge, ugly and seems to cater to dorky tourists…dorky tourists like me! I was right there with em’ taking photos and pretend surfing on the benches out front. We were later treated to lunch by Dwight and Denise Wilkes (Our great hosts in St. Augustine). I guess they couldn’t get enough of us and felt the need to drive 100 miles to say hello again. Actually, they were driving home from an event and happened to be on the same highway. Wonferful people, I didn’t want to say goodbye.

That night we camped in Sammy’s backyard at Melbourne Beach. (his real name has been changed to protect his identity) Scott met him at a bike shop and he offered up a patch of grass and even threw in a few beers. Now listen to this, I thought that I loved bikes, but ‘Sammy’ takes the cake for true bike love. He once shot a guy for stealing his bike, really, true story. He chased the dude down in his car, and shot the little theif right in the foot. Suppossedly this all went down right in front of city hall, now that guy has balls.

Even after the story, I still felt safe, especially with all the Yoga and Zen books around his house. I easily fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and the gentle breeze blowing through the palms. It is warm now at night, no need for the tent, I just stare up at the stars and dream myself to sleep.

Today we cruised 100 miles to North Palm Beach. Much of the day was spent riding on golf cart paths along A1A. I swear that Florida is one giant golf course, all the grass looks perfectly manicured and ultra green along the highways.

Tonight I’m staying with cousins of Billy (see Charleston) The entire family (sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces..etc) live within walking distance of eachother and they all came over tonight (Carol’s house) for dinner and a chance to see my great tan lines. By the way, the lines are getting even more sexy, if you can believe that. It is great fun to be included in all their family fun, they are a happy bunch.

I’m within 100 miles of Miami and the Latin vibes are pulling me in. Aj aj aj, el duzer viene con ganas de bailar. Photos coming soon.
