Philly is great, not as exciting as NYC, but I would have to give it a strong 7.5 on the coolness scale.

Didn’t ride far today, tried hitting up all the sights in Philly on my way out and it took time.  The highlight was running up the “Rocky” stairs in front of the art museum.  Yo Adrian!

Rode through some serious industrial parks on our way to Delaware.  Oil refineries, Dupont Chemical Factories and I think I even saw Honeywell, they make ham right?

I was even treated to some great smelling air today for a change.  Now you may think I’m crazy, or delirous, but when it started raining just after noon, the whole world smelled like chocolate chip cookies, serioulsy!  My tounge draped out of my mouth like a dog hanging his head out of car window. Yummy.

We are currently at the home of Frank and Carmela.  Frank is a retired Army General and worked with my grandfather.  Upon getting to their warm home, we were treated to fancy sodas, cheese and crackers and my absolute favorite….Grilled Cheese sandwhiches!  Yeehaa!

After quick showers, Frank took us on a historical tour of the area.  Where Washington rode in, where William Penn lived and where a local Pakistani owns 13 Dunkin Donuts on one street.  He even took us to a live auction where they were selling everything from crusty old Barbie dolls to ancient swords.  It was my first auction, pretty fun.

Now my belly is full of fresh apple pie and homemade fudge.  I’ll sleep well tonight.
