The Land of Enchantment

I danced in the rain last night! For the first time since starting this trip I experienced a rain storm in the desert. It was very cozy.

My friend Allison met me last night, she is a fellow film maker buddy at the Travel Channel and was on her way home to Bisbee AZ. It’s always fun to see a familiar face on the lonely road.

Guess what? A bike moves a lot slower when it’s pulling a trailer, and it goes even slower when you realize at the end of the day that the trailer has a flat tire. The entire afternoon I was struggling, I mean, it was windy and everything, but it felt like someone was pulling me in the opposite direction. DUH! It wasn’t completely flat so I didn’t notice until I got to my destination and looked at it. Whoops!

Tomorrow I’ll be back in top form and racing the rabbits and lizards that like to taunt me as I ride beside them.

Oh, and I’m in New Mexico now, pretty cool. One more state of great Mexican food and then I’m off to the taters of the Midwest.
