I pledge allegience to my bike…
…As a patriotic cure for America, and to the public, with whom we stand, one elation, undeniable with community and transport for all!-Team Wonderbike Pledge
So I celebrated the Fourth with new friends, and thousands of drunk rednecks! It seems that everyone in southern N.M. and northern Texas goes to Elephant Butte to check out one of the state’s biggest firework shows. It was awesome, I’ve never seen fireworks over water before. It was my first small town Fourth of July celebration and it was fun to experience, although I did miss the sing-alongs in Folsom Stadium
Here’s the video of all the fun!
Today I’m in Socorro, I rolled in at about 4pm and didn’t know where I would find a place to sleep, like usual. Cheap motels are always an option but no fun. As I was riding around this cute little town I saw a cafe with posters of Smoothies in the windows, I like smoothies!
A nice young gal took my order and asked what I was doing, she could tell that I wasn’t your average biker. I told her I was a mass murderer on a bike
Within 30 seconds of meeting me, Ashely offered up her couch, how cool! I guess I didn’t smell too bad after all
So Now I’m hanging out with Seth her boyfriend and a house full of bikes, I feel at home. I bought a couple 6 packs of New Belgium to thank them, cheers! This is one of the reasons why I love traveling this way, you get to meet tons of awesome like minded happy people!
