Desert Solitaire
It’s hot! I don’t know exactly how hot, but to give you an idea, I drank two and a half gallons of water and never went to the bathroom!
It may be warm, but it’s absolutely beautiful! I love the desert landscape, the complete silence, the little lizards that run beside me as I cruise by and the clear blue sky! And the heat really isn’t so bad, I ride so fast that the wind cools me down 
It got cold in the desert last night, and I didn’t pack warm clothes. At about 3am I took every piece of clothing out of my bag and piled it on top of me to create a warm layer…and it worked, kinda. Amazing that it can go from scorching hot to cold at the flip of a switch.
Today’s ride was pretty easy, no big hills, I actually went BELOW sea level in the Salton Sea. I also met a nice Canadian guy who pulled over to give me a bottle of water, gotta love friendly those Canucks
Tomorrow I’m heading toward the Arizona border, I wonder if it’ll be cooler there
